The pendant features a gold satin finish oval with the figure of Mary in the center and a polished gold border. Surrounding Mary are the words, “O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.” On the back of the medal in a brushed finish is the letter M, representing Mary, surmounted by a cross representing the sacrifice of Jesus, and surrounded by twelve stars that represent the twelve apostles.
